The best place to stay for boaters in the UK?
Inchmurrin is the largest of Loch Lomond’s islands, situated on the largest of Scotland’s Lochs. Just thirty minutes from Glasgow and a short ferry crossing from the mainland, this is the real Loch Lomond where traditional hospitality and the gentler pursuits of life still count.
The island offers guests self catering accommodation, a restaurant (great food and not expensive), bar and function suite, as well as moorings and free berthing for boats. A ferry service is provided for guests and several jetties are available for customers who have their own boats. The restaurant caters to all needs, from individuals having a bar meal to weddings for eighty people. As well as enjoying the peace and quiet guests on holiday occupy themselves by sailing, fishing, water ski-ing, boating and exploring the Island; or else use the ferry service to travel to the mainland and take advantage of the many attractions in the Loch Lomond area. Private car parking and boat slip is available for guests at the mainland jetty.
