Happy New Year

We have hit the ground running and can’t wait to see what 2025 brings Clyde Outboard Services. We hope you all had a great time over the festive period.

2024 was another fantastic year for us.

Aaron became an official member of the RLNI, he is part of the Maintenance and Shore Crew. With having 10+ years of outboard engineer experience, we are certain that he become a valued member of the Helensburgh RLNI Crew. He has gone through rigorous training and even took a dook in the Clyde to experience a rescue first hand.

Cameron attended the Mercury Dealer Conference in Wisconsin. He visited Mercury’s Global Headquarters in Fond Du Lac and took a tour of their factory where he was able to see Mercury’s innovative technologies in action. He met with other dealers at a black tie dinner. The trip was rounded off with a tour of the Harley Davidson Museum.

Clyde Outboard Services became an approved Service Centre for Aspen Fuel. We have seen fantastic results from Aspen Fuel. Due to the product having zero ethanol making stale fuel a thing of the past. The product can remain in the fuel tank and fuel system for several years with no starting problems, reduced down time and costly repairs. Aspen fuel can be used in any 4 stroke and 2 stroke petrol engines.

Our online shop is currently being updated, please bare with us while this is going on. We are going to make some other changes to our website, be sure to check in on our progress. Mercury Avator and Tohatsu Alaris electric outboards have now been added.

Our new Troon Workshop has been very busy and has been a great expansion for Clyde Outboard Services. We will announce the winners of our Troon Workshop Grand Opening Prize Draw very soon.

Despite the weather, the 2024 boating season was busy as ever for us. Here are our highlights from the year.

82 New outboard engines sold; ranging from 2.3hp to 150hp
52 Used outboard engines sold; ranging from 2hp to 115hp
2930 Total horsepower of outboards sold
447 Services completed
269 Repairs completed
414 Part enquiries processed
